On 2 September 2024, the Aerospace, Maritime, and Defence Industries (AMD) provided a briefing to the Minister of Defence & Military Veterans (MODMV) and her two Deputy Ministers. During the session, AMD's Acting Executive Chairman, Sandile Ndlovu, presented an overview of the South African Defence Industry (SADI), discussing the current challenges and emphasising potential collaboration opportunities.
Among the attendees was André Olivier, Managing Director of OTT Solutions and a Non-executive Director of AMD. OTT Solutions has been instrumental in advancing the RATEL Service Life Extension Program (SLEP). The RATEL SLEP Program has successfully restored and upgraded the mobility, protection, and firepower, transforming the RATEL into a modern, interoperable system capable of receiving and processing digital encrypted data, voice, video, and real-time information on targets and blue force movements.
