On 12 and 13 October 2024, OTT Solutions proudly participated in a community outreach event alongside Charis Ministries, AGS Daspoort, KF24, and Living Ball. The South African Defence Force Association was also present, inviting veterans and displaying a stall featuring defence force memorabilia.

OTT Solutions showcased two iconic vehicles, the Nyala and Mamba, drawing much interest from attendees. The event was filled with meaningful interaction, activities, praise and worship, as well as the distribution of clothing, furniture, and other essentials to those in need.

As part of the weekend's festivities, AGS Daspoort hosted a well-supported Wildsfees, serving as a successful fundraiser for the community.

The South African government reaffirmed its commitment to the African Aerospace and Defense (AAD) 2024 event by endorsing it as a national showcase. This was made clear with high-level visits to OTT Solutions’ stand in Hangar 5, where President and Commander-in-Chief Cyril Ramaphosa, the Minister of Defense, two Deputy Ministers of Defense, members of the Portfolio Committee for Defense and Military Veterans, the Chief of the South African National Defense Force (SANDF), and a number of senior officers and foreign dignitaries were in attendance.

OTT Solutions is a strategic asset in support and aligning with the SANDF broader development goals. 

OTT Solutions is part of the South African Defense Industry (SADI) and an active member of the AMD board, and continues to be a strategic asset in supporting SANDF's broader development objectives. With mobility restored in Phase 1, protection enhanced in Phase 2, and firepower upgraded in Phase 3, Phase 4 of the Ratel SLEP focuses on achieving full connectivity across the force.

This has been accomplished through the integration of advanced digital systems, including a modern navigation system, a battle management system, blue force tracking, and the in-service PROJECT RADIATE digital multiband radios.

The Ratel SLEP now features state-of-the-art interoperability capabilities, enabling real-time transmission and reception of encrypted digital data, voice, video, target information, and blue force tracking.

Interoperability is the game-changer that allows the Ratel SLEP to take on a leading role in various operations, from surveillance and border patrols to urban and asymmetric warfare, and even back to more conventional battlefields.

The diagram illustrates the connectivity now enabled, which allows for identification, geo-location, target designation, and seamless sharing of real-time data with friendly forces. This is all while monitoring blue force assets in real time.
